Clinical leadership at the local level of our hospitals follow these evidence-based protocols to help restore functional mobility and independence of patients recovering from critical illness and catastrophic injury. Personalized treatment plans are created in close collaboration with the hospital medical directors and Select Medical Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Samuel Hammerman, MMM, CPE, FCCP and Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital Division Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jose Vargas, FAAPMR.

Across our more than 1,900+ outpatient rehabilitation centers, our evidence-based approach uses standardized patient- and performance-based outcome measures that guide our pursuit of clinical excellence. Using outcomes, our licensed therapists prioritize the wellbeing and monitor the progress of patients as they engage in goal-directed, individualized treatment plans.
